car takes very long to starts, and when it does it vibrates and smokes alot then cut out soon after.
what could be the problem?

- i also took out th plugs and they are very black . the smoke is very black. it took a very long time to start

what color is the smoke? if its white you could be leaking coolant into the cylinders causing it not to start untill the fluid is burned out.

- black smoke means that u are burning rich. to much gas is being used. check the smell of the car when it starts would smell like gas. the fuel can get into the cylinder from either a leaking fuel injector, faulty fuel pump or if the car uses a carburetor it could need adjusting.

if there is blue in the smoke that means oil is entering the system
