I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado that continuously stops the gas pump as if it were full and would not take any additional gasoline.

I'd check the evap system. When you fill up, the air in the tank has to go somewhere or it will burp back up the fill pipe and shut off the pump.

Gas wont go in tank.it takes it slow ?the gas pump shuts off like the tank is slow.

the fuel return hose is kinked or plugged up. every filler neck has a secondary vent tube attached to the tank for fast fill ups. If it is slow in filling have that vent tube inspected

I cant seem to fill up the gas tank in my 2007 750 LI -- sounds so stupid but I can only fill up to half a tank before the pump quits at the station...has anyone else had this problem...? any suggestions?

make sure you shut the car off when fueling and try pumping by hand slowly and see what happens. also take key out of ignition its probably the cars computer. my chevy pu did same thing but only while the truck was running

I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado. After I fill up the gas tank and start the truck the engine stalls unless I give it gas. After I drive the truck down the road it runs and starts fine.

You have sediment in your tank that gets losened and blocks your fuel line after you gas up. drain tank and clean and change both fuel filters and that should fix your problem

2003 Chevy S-10 Crew Cab slow filling tank which splashes back and shuts off gas pump hose. ? filler pipe problem.

Sounds like the vent is pluged, its either next to the filler pipe or inside the filler pipe, but in any case it will come from the gas tank
( most likely on top of tank) to vent the air thats traped in the tank, when its pluged there is no other place for the air to go but out the filler tube.

Difficulty filling gas tank '06 Silverado 2500 HD 6.0 4x4 w/125K

Well come to the GM World. The filler tube to the gas tank is small and i find it to be the same on my Jimmy and my wife's Montana.
When filling, try starting off slow. Then gradually pull on the trigger more, as you fill the tank with gas. The fluid going in back's up with the air coming out. When you start off slow then pull on the trigger more you give the gas going in and air coming out time to create a path through that they can don't really interfere much with one another.
After a while you'll find a certain way (eather tilted to the left or right) to place the Gas pump nozzle in the filler tube to keep it from cutting off on you.
Good luck and hope this helps. If there is anything wrong with the EVAP. Charcoal canister, vacuum tubes or valve, your Service Engine light would go on. The ECM monitors all of that and would save a DTC in the ECM's memory to be retrieved by a technition's scanner.
