I'm looking for a code to get my stereo working again after battery replacement. If this code is located in the manual where do I look? Thanks so much!

OK, I'll try that. I did call a dealership close to me but not the one where the car was purchased. This dealer told me I had to bring the car in so they could do this. What a pain in the ****! I am the 2nd owner for the car.

Thanks for your help. I appreciate your quick response

The car is a 2005 Hyundai Sonata. A little radio light flickered while I had just the radio on. I turned the car off and it would not start and had to be jumped. I made it home and went to have the battery checked. I replaced the battery and the radio still does not work or light up at all. I have had the fuses checked also.

I called Hyundai Customer Service with my VIN # and they couldn't find a code and they directed me to call the company I purchased from (small neighborhood used car dealer). which I did. The dealer called the bigger dealer and they were told that Hyundai hasn't used codes since 1998. Seems like no one knows for sure. I was going to look into replacing the radio next.

The code will not be in the manual unless the previous owner wrote it there. Call the dealership that the car was bought from or if you have no clue as to where that was call the manufacturer. Have your VIN and the radios serial number.

You may want to check the dealership or manufacturer's website before you take it to a dealership. Usually they try to charge you around 90 bucks just to do this. What kind of car is it and ill see if i can get info for you online?

If they said thats codes were no longer used and the radio will not come on at all, I would suggest just getting a new one. Have you took it out? If so have you checked to see if the radio itself has a fuse? Im not too familure with newer vehicles when it comes to radios. Mostly deal with after market, but check to see if has a fuse.

Battery was disconnected from car. and now the radio does not work and is asking for a code to be entered in order to be able to use the radio again

  1. Try looking into the service manual. If you are the original owner of the card there should be something that looks like a white credit card. It will contain the serial number and code for the stereo.
  2. Check on the sides of the glove compartment box (the part you pull down). There may be sticker with the code on it.
  3. Pull the ash tray out and look on the bottom of it.
  4. It may be located on the door itself (the part hidden when you close the door).

After jump starting my batteries, the radio, a/c fan and horn do not work. I have checked the fuses. Could the problem be the relays?

Not that many relays would fail at once, you can swap a couple to test probably spiked the bcm or the ecm when you jump started it.

How can i reset maint reqd lights for a 2006 sequoia

OK,you only want to reset the maint.lights right? just disconnect the positive cable on your battery for 10minutes,BUT make sure you do not need a code to insert to your stereo system[anti-theft] to allow it to work. owners manual, check there 1st most likely you don't need the code but look to owners manual before you attempt this. just like a dead battery,if you've ever had one in this vehicle, and boosted it off from another, you will not need the code. but if you have not needed the code before, you will need to look at your owners manual before you boost your car. or else, your car will boost and engine run and no radio will operate, but you will be able to drive it. your stereo code [if needed] will be in the owners handbook, located in glove compartment of car] hope this helps and thank you for choosing!!

My radio needs a code for to work again.

Do this: If you have jumped or replaced the battery at anytime this will happen. You have to get the serial number off the radio by removing it or partially taking it out to see the numbers on it try not to remove any cords. With the stereo out (to make sure you get the right number off of it) call an Acura dealership with the number and they will give you the another number to enter into the stereo and directions on how to punch the numbers in. Make sure while you have the stereo out you write the serial number down and keep it in a safe place also the number that the Acura dealership gives you because if you sell the car or if it happens again its easily accessible. Good Luck!
