Question about 1997 Ford Explorer AWD

I have a 1998 Lincoln Cont. I need the keyless entry codes

My owners manual say's the number is on the plastic card in the portfolio package. I have this card but it only has the VIN number on the card and I know that is not the number.
The manual also says the number is in the trunk but the only number I found is a little picture of the plastic card on the trunk lid and that too is the VIN Number. There is a stamped word located next to the trunk lid latch assembly that spells OZZIE, but I can find no other numbers located in the trunk anywhere else.
The owners manual also says that the number is under the hood stamped on the electronic module but I can't find this part anywhere. Please Help me, the dealer wants $ 45.00 to plug into my cars computer and scan for the keyless entry code. Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you checked the right side of side trunk lid hinge? You have to check it in the daylight or use a flash light. The keyless code usually fades.

Hope it helps and have a great day!

How can i reprogram my 1995 lincoln town car keyless entry without the remote?

are you talking about door pad keys? If yes, the permanent code is on a plastic card in your owner manual folder and on the module. Your dealer also can retrieve with his scanner for about 1/2 hour labor.

Purchased a 2007 MKZ and there was no owner's card to get the keyless lock code. How can I get it so I can set my doors?

The keyless entry code should be printed on a label by the fuse box. I have attached a picture of where you should find the label SECTION 501-14: Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems 2007 Fusion/Milan/MKZ Workshop Manual GENERAL PROCEDURES Procedure revision date: 07/31/2006 Keyless Entry Keypad Code Programming adobe.gif Printable View (109 KB) NOTE: To associate a memory configuration to a personal entry code, refer to the Owner's Literature.
  1. Enter the permanent factory keyless entry keypad code.
  1. NOTE: Holding the 1/2 button for more than 2 seconds after activation erases all the customer codes. The existing code does not need to be erased to program a new code.
Press the 1/2 button within 5 seconds to activate the programming mode.
  1. Within 5 seconds, enter the new 5-digit keyless entry keypad code. The doors lock and unlock to confirm the new code is programmed.

I have 1992 Lincoln Towncar. I can use the keyless

You probably have a bad hazard switch.

For the code,
1. Look on the deck lid arms for a small tag with the permanent code.
2. If you purchased new, call selling dealer to see if they have it recorded on the invoice.
3. Look in the glove box owner manual package for a credit card size plastic card with the code number.
4. Pay dealer 1/2 hour labor charge to retrieve the code with their diagnostic tool. Confirm price ahead of time.
5. Look on keyless entry module for the tag with the code.

For 1994 town car, module is behind glvoe box. Not sure for 1992, sinnce 94 was a new model design.

Door Lock Control Processor, Electronic Removal and Installation
  1. Drop glove compartment door. Refer to Section 01-05 .
  1. Remove nut on electronic door lock control processor (14B001) bracket assembly.
  1. Remove bracket assembly from RH cowl.
  1. Remove electronic door lock control processor from electronic door lock control processor bracket assembly (2 screws).
  1. To install, reverse Removal procedure.

Factory keyless entry pad code where is it please.

You can take your registration and driver license to a dealer and they can use their diagnostic tool to retrieve it from the computer. It should cost 1/2 hour of labor. Call first & ask.

Also, look in glove box for a plastic "credit card" with the code on it.

Need the factory keyless entry code to reprogram drivers door keypad. Owners manual insert is no longer available.

Check inside the trunk lid for a label with a 5 digit code. If unsuccessful, then any dealer would be able to help you by checking the VIN number.

I need to get keyless entry numbers

the keyless entry code is on a plastic "credit card" in the owner manual packet. This is the permanent code and can be changed by you, following the directions in the owner manual.

Your selling dealer probably recorded the codes in your sales folder. Also, you can go to any Ford dealer parts dept with ID and proof of ownership and they can get your code from Ford using your 17 digit VIN number.
