Draining battery trouble starting

I have to try starting my 1998 ford expedition 6 times or more before it actually starts. The battery is drained all the time. I had the battery & alternator checked and both are fine. What is the problem??? Help.

Check fuel pressure should read at least 30psi at the rail with no start. Or you can listen for the fuel pump to kick on when you turn the key. You should hear a high pitch sound if you don't you probably need a fuel pump and filter. How many miles on truck?

My 2003 Ford Expedition drains the batteryMy battery drains within 2 to 3 days. It just started doing this. I was wondering if there may be a typical problem with the 2003 models. This did not start o

You need to run a parasitic drain test. This is done by unhooking one battery cable and putting a DC amp meter in series. The meter needs to be able to read at least 10 amps. When you hook it up with the engine and the key OFF see what it says. It should be under 1 amp. DONT OPEN THE DOORS OR TURN ON THE KEY when you run this test. If the amp reading is high, start by taking things off that you recently put on. If it does not drop, start removing fuses till you find the problem.

Battery on 98 Ford Expedition doesn't hold charge

First thing I would do is have someone qualified disconnect the alarm and stereo and start over.
Chances are you have circuits cross-connected and something is draining the battery.

Is there a drain plug on a 98 expedition torque converter??? How can it be serviced

No

Don't worry about draining the converter

You can change your fluid 3 times, if you like

Drive a week or two in between, to be sure
it doesn't slip and shifts correctly

If you are reseting a factory alarm...lock and unlock the drivers door with the key. If you don't know the code look under the dash driver side in left corner there should be a black cover with a sticker with a code on it 6 numbers that is the factory code.

Yes. You have to take the car to a ford dealer and have the new key programmed. This should solve your problem. Good luck.

Truck wont start after sitting for about 6-10 hours.

Put you a really good battery about $90 or more. Try interstate MTP-65 or MT-65. I dont work for them but I'll bet it'll fix it
