It can be done but you will need knowledge to do it . basically remove the sump. remove all the main caps except the front one and the last one . Remember which way they came out as they will not reverse on reassembly . Now loosen off the front and rear caps about 1/8 th inch . This will allow you to push the bearing shell above the crank around until you can pull it off the journal . Observe the shell position in the cap as there is a locating tag and you push it in the direction that pushes it out first. Replacement is the reverse process putting the tag end in last. When most of the shell have been replaced then refit the caps up to where then the front and rear mains were and do them . When done re tension the caps. As I said you will need some mechanical knowledge to do it but it can be done.

Usually this can be done but I think that if you have wear on thrust faces, there is likely wear on support faces as well, Once you have the pan off, plastigage both rod and main bearings. if out of specs, you really should change all of them!! Make sure you torque everything properly and avoid getting oil on backs of bearings when installing... can lead to spun bearing.
good luck

Yes it is possible but you will have to get about six inches of clearance so the pan will clear the oil pump pickup

should be able to get the cover off with the engine in the frame. Just take out the grille and header support, then disassemble the front of the engine. If you are dead set on removing the engine, she comes out the front after taking everything out of the way.
SOURCE: How do you change the
if you need bearings, you need a lot more. Yes you could, but its a waste of time, because if the bearings are bad, the crank, rod bearings, oil pump, ect. may also be bad.
