The front brake rotor is warped. Just take it to the local garage to get it skimmed.

SOURCE: steering wheel vibrates when brakes are applied

The front brake rotors have become warped and will need to be replaced. Sometimes you can machine them, but I would suggest replacing them as they are not expensive. Do new front brake pads also, they will have become unevenly worn and it just makes sense since you or a mechanic is in there.

Vibrating noise in the drivers side wheel when im going 55 on the highway and when i slow down

Hi If the noise is like a buzzing or huming noise the most likely cause is the wheel bearing.
But if you are feeling vibration through the steering wheel at 55 then as you increase speed the vibration goes then thats usually the wheels need balancing.
Also some noises can come from brakes which are rubbing or lots of brake dust on them.
Anyway i hope i have been of some help to you good luck

When I apply brakes and slow to around 40 mph I have vibration in steering. I replaced brake pads and tires but did not help any suggestions?

Most of the time, this vibration is caused by warped brake rotors.
It's also possible that the steering or suspension joints are worn.
These should be checked when the brakes are inspected.

Vibrating proplem

Your car has front disc brakes, the disc's are running out of true, as u apply the brake this causes the steering wheel to shake, the higher the speed the more u feel this, the solution is to have the front brake disc's machined true again on a brake lathe or if they are to thin replace them.

Steering whell shimmies when brakes are applied

A common problem with brakes are the rotors warping, which causes a vibration when applying the brake pedal. The brake pads, clamp down on the brake rotor, which slows the vehicle, and in the process, both items are subjected to very high temperatures. This is what causes the rotors to warp, which in turn creates the vibration you feel.Best solution is to replace the rotors and pads, with new.The calipers, which hold the brake pads, should be checked by the technician to make sure the piston is working properly, and not leaking. The rubber hoses should also be checked,no cracks or leaks, etc.Good luck.
