Have never blown the fuse for the horn. We have checked for water and never found any. Have not checked the ground but will try that next. Thanks

You are either getting water in your horn, common for trucks, or it could be a bad ground.
have you ever blown the fuse for the horn?

Usually a sign the horn pad under the air bag is not working, or a wiring problem between the horn pad and the horn relay.

Have the clock spring ribbon contact drum tested, i think you have a broken filament circuit. the par is located under the steering wheel.

Horn doesn't work

You may have a bad horn relay. You can try to go to Autozone.com and register your car for FREE. Once you do that, you will be able to download a chassis wiring diagram and a powerbox layout. Then search for the horn relay and once you have identified it, replace it

Most of the bigger autoparts stores should have one in stock.

When running air condition, if i blow the horn both stop working, until i replace the horn fuse

try unplugging the horns to see if they are the problem. If the fuse still blows, the problem is the wires from the relay to the horns. If the fuse doesn't blow, plug in one horn at a time to see which one is bad.

The horn does not blow and when I replace the fuse it may blow once or twice but the fuse blows again.

you may have a short in one of the horn them self . the easy to test is to unplug both horns then see if the fuse blows. if not plug in the horn one at a time . and see which one blows the fuse . replace the one that dose. if you have only one horn still do the test.

Horn blows constantly, doesn,t blow the fuse or anything else. can this problem be outside of the horn blowing assy. on the steering wheel? it,s a 2000 galant. problem occurs all the time if the switch is...

  • The horn relay might have welded contacts (stuck in the on position). Pulling the relay should stop the horn.
  • The wiring harness on the steering column might have a broken wire to the horn relay shorting to someplace that applies power to the relay. In this case, turning the steering wheel all the way to one side or the other may stop the horn, and it won't sound when you press the horn button.
  • The horn button in the steering wheel is stuck on or shorted.
