Try replacing the thermostat and doing a flush of the radiator. also check the hoses to see if they are collapsing and if the fans are turning on

Where can you find the radiator cap in a volkswagon bora v5

Janet, top up your coolant in the coolant reservoir/expansion tank it is the rounded bottle closer to the shock tower.. Remove Blue or Black cap when engine cold and top up, run engine till warm and recheck after cool and top up again if necessary. Make sure to have leak repaired sooner then later to prevent future costly repair.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

VW Bora heating problem

I would guess its the thermostat stuck in the closed position, So the water cant circulate, and because of it its heating up around the engine and not going to the radiator, check it by feeling the top of the radiator, the top should be hot and the bottom should be cold

I have a 2005 VW Passat. In September I replaced the heater core, I flushed the coolant and replaced the coolant, because I wasn't getting any heat, it was just blowing cold air. I was told it wasn't the...

Are your cooling fans working?Could be your thermostat,to check put in pot of hot water at 190 degrees and see if it opens, then remove to see if closes,if it does this, then it's good, another thing is the coolant may need bleeding, air inside system or bad water pump, not circulating, bad bearing.

2000 vw bora se tdi overheating and water disappearing

Hey. Looks like you loosing coolant somewhere. Check radiator and hoses for leaks first. Than check thermostat, fan should engage between 95-100 degrees if it doesn't it may be cooling fan relay or fan itself. Next would be a water pump and if this is not it you may have leak indside the engine. Let me know what you found.

VW Bora wiper problem

Have you checked the wiper motor and linkages to make sure they are properly lubricated? Take care to keep your fingers clear of the (hopefully) moving parts! Your typical can of maintenance spray might get them going initially, but grease is really needed in the long run. D.
