2003 dodge caravan will not start. Makes a clicking noise, and dash shuts off, then makes a humming sound.

im going to say an almost dead battery .the hum you hear might be the fuel pump.you never heard it before because the van normaly starts .so boost your van if it starts you may have to replace the altenator the guages, no worries many cars do that .thats a code needing erased and if you disconnect the battery that may go away.

Dodge 1500 1995 pickup 7.5 volts to fuel pumpwill not start applied 12 volts pump runs book sayes pcm de-energize booth relayes and will not send proper voltage to fuel pump

There is a red and white wire feeding the fuel pump relay from a 30 amp fuse. Both the shutdown relay and the fuel pump relay are grounded by the PCM, so if the fuel pump relay is grounded it should be "on" and providing a direct link from the pump to that fuse.
You should have battery voltage on that 30 amp wire before the relay and then on the dark green and black wire going to the pump.
If you don't have battery voltage coming from the 30 amp fuse, the problem could be before the fuse.
That 30 amp fuse is hot all the time, so it is powered by a fuseable link coming off the battery.

I have 98 dodge 1500 4x4 i have no spark or fuel. Cranks over but wont start plus the fuel and volt gage stopped working at the same time. The fuel pump keeps running wont stop while key is on. Please help...

no idea ,if i was around the corner i would soon sort it thats for sure its only a car with 4 wheels and a engine although i have never seen one before.if you have no spark then this could stop the fuel for safety reasons so start by checking the crank sensor ,take it off and use a multi meter on millvolt setting and somehow touch the two contacts and move a spanner over the head of the sensor and see if the meter reads ,should be about 2.something volts ,dont think that the gauges are a related problem but its possible their is fuse out or dirty contacts on the fuse holder ,as i said if i was around the corner i would have a coffee and a ciggy kick it up the exhaust swear at it and iam sure it would go when i got my hammer out .

My 98 dodge stratus won't startbut it will turn

You need to check if its got air, fuel, and spark. spray some throttle body cleaner in the throttle body and quickly try to start it. if it fires up then your not getting fuel so you may need a fuel pump and filter. If it does nothing check for spark, if you have no spark then you need to check the coils and crank position sensor.

1997 dodge dakota want start in morng finly get it to crank ran fine till shut it off now next morning want start

First check to see if you have spark at the sparkplug then if you have spark check your fuel pressure it should be between 44-54 psi with key on engine off also ,check fuel filter for restriction. If pressure is below 39 psi then replace fuel pump. But if you don't have spark at the plug then there is a ignition problem. ( coil, ignition coil pickup )

2004 Dodge 2500 diesel loses power while driving.

either your fuel guage is not reading properly and you have less fuel than you think or your fuel pickup nedds to be adjusted sometimes the pickup looses the ability to pull the fuel from a certain level which would indicate that the pick up is going bad or is already bad if you replace just the pickup see if you can get one thats a little longer than the one that you have already so that it can go deeper into the tank. maybe the pickup tube has fallen off also and the pump can only pull the fuel when the tank is full. hope this gives you some ideas as to where to start.

My truck did this after I replaced the fuel pump. Turned out to Fuel Pressure Regulator. It would crank and crank but never start. It's located underneath the black plastic manifold on the side of the injectors.

Truck won't start. engine turns over. checked

have someone to stand back by the truck why you turn the key to listen to hear if there is noise coming from the gas tank if it is then its not the pump then it maybe your fuel pump relay or the crank sensor give these websites a try www.alldatadiy.com and www.autozone.com wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

1998 Dodge 1500 Pickup out of time spark

I would begin by checking 2 things. You can loosen the gas line that to the engine and turn the key on and see if the fuel pump is pumping gas to the engine. If it does, I would remove a spark plug wire and check to see if you have any fire to the spark plugs. If it has fuel and fire. I would check my timing.

Do you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key on before you turn the engine over. Turning the key to the on position without engaging the starter you should hear a high pitched buzzing sound for 3-5 seconds while the pump builds up fuel pressure in the line.

If you hear that, then try to get a fuel pressure guage. Look for the fuel supply line and towards the back of the engine you will see a fitting that looks like the air nozzle on your tire only larger and that is where you hook the guage too. Then do the same as above turning the key on and I think you are supposed to have 60-62 lbs of pressure when the pump stops. If you don't, I would say you need either a fuel filter replaced or new fuel pump. If it gets to 60-62 lbs, then watch it after the pump stops to see if it holds the pressure. If it drops quickly, it could be a fuel pressure regulator or you have a leak somewhere.

If it builds and maintains pressure, then the first thing I would check is your distributor cap. I had a 98 S10 that did they same thing you are asking about and in the end it was a bad distributor cap where the spark was jumping around instead of only going to the intended cylinder. I found that by putting a timing light on the truck and it showed the cylinder getting multiple sparks during the cycle when it should have gotten one. Or if you take the distributor cap off you will see white cloudy marks up where the contacts are if you don't have access to a timing light.

You could also take the spark plugs out and see what they look like. If they are clean and pretty clean, you probably have good spark, if they are wet then spark most likely is your issue. Without knowing how many miles your truck has on it or when you replaced the plugs and spark plug wires, that might be your problem as well.

Could also be your injectors needing cleaned and/or replaced.

Check the simplest things first and work your way up until you have it found.

Hope this helps you out.
