Check if the ac compressor's clutch kicks in whn you switch 'on' the ac in idling.
Its not bad if you check the sight glass and see if theres a lot of bubbles in the system, the gas 134a could be low too.
Hope this helps!

This is caused by a defective blower motor speed control resistor, the resisitor is located next to the blower motor.

2005 GMC CANYON BLOWER MOTOR ONLY WORKS ON HIGH?

Ok I'm going to be honest and tell u the truth, this exact thing happened to me. There is a 4 part pigtail relay plug connecting to a transister, the high only works because it bypasses the transiter and go directly into the fan power, but setings 1,2,3 eventualy and no longer usuable due to the transister input to the specific speed burning out, u can lose differnt speeds and differnt times depending on which speed u prefer the most. If u prolong the repaire even longer it will cause a short and u will burn fuses or even the main fuse in your fuse box. How to fix. I didn't perform the repair but I read that the relay and the pigtail are both located next to the fire wall. It cost me a few hundred dollers, and only 35 dollers for labor, the rest was the transister and the pigtail being the most. Sapposidly it was vary easy to get to, and if you look in a haynes repair manual it will give you the electrical scymatics of the wireing for the fan blower control.

Blower fan will not work on # 2 position

first check the signal fro the switch to the resistor with a dvoln(volt meter) the check resistance or continuity on the resistor, if the no 2 is blown then the blower motor is probably drawing too much juice and blowing the resistor, which blew the first resistor originally

There is a plug up under the glove box that loosens and you need to snug it up.

Fan control only works on high in a gmc 2005 canyon

Replace the blower motor resister,it is mounted right next to the blower motor,it has a lug with about 7 wires on it.Just unplug it and remove two screws to remove the resister. This controls the speeds for the blower motor. The blower motor is the cause of the resister failure.Even if the motor seems to sound, and run fine,it is pulling to many amps.

Air only works on high

ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS REPLACE THE BLOWER MOTOR SPEED DROPPING RESISTOR, IT IS NEXT TO THE BLOWER HELD INTO THE AIR DUCT WITH TWO SCREWS.
PLEASE RATE THIS.

2004 gmc canyon fan moter for ac dont work

There is a fuse I would check first if you haven't tried that yet. They had problems with the switches in some of those vehicles. If you could take the control out and unpug then reattach the plug it may start working meaning the switch is bad.
You may have a bad fan motor. Do you have a test light to check for voltage at the motor itself?
Lastly, there is a resistor set that changes from low to high that may have one or more resistors burned out.
