Question about 1995 Toyota Camry
My 1994 camry hesitates when accelerating also when it drops down to idle it dies then sometime it will start sometimes it wont after it set for a while it will start up and run fine untill it heats up then it wants to do the same thing when iam driving it acts like it misses but never dies it always keeps runnig when it is at high rpms sometimes when it starts it has a rough idle but if i put it in netural and rev it up it will smooth out and run it always seems to start and run well after it sits still for four or five hours ive changed plugs wires fuel filter pcv valve rotor cap rotor i think it is some kind of sensor fuel i think maybe a electrical problem but when it runs its like nothing is wrong with it plenty of power no missing like nothing is wrong i might drive thiry or fourty miles with no problem when this started it did it just once in 2 or three months now it is every day can some one help me???
When idle is erratic, possible causes are :
EGR system fault.
Ensure proper spark exists from ignition system.
Ensure ignition timing is correct.
Ensure fuel system performs properly (fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel injector and fuel pressure regulator).
Check engine compression, valve clearance, valve timing and timing belt (if equipped).
Check airflow meter or MAP sensor and wiring.
Check Engine Control Module (ECM) and wiring.
Ensure dipstick and oil filler cap are properly seated.
If you are operating the A/C when it happens, it is possible the idle drop happens when the A/C compressor cuts in. This indicates the idle air controls and passages could be partially clogged resulting in the delay in ECM control to bring up the idle speed. Cleaning the throttle body and IAC should solve the problem.
Any further help, let me know.
