Question about 2003 Pontiac Sunfire
New problem - Car will start most of the time, but then quit running after 10 - 15 secs. Also, 2 of 4 gauges do not work including odometer (for the last year or so). Battery good; full tank. Changed fuel filter. Could it be fuel pump for the new problem? Do you need whole assembly when changing fuel pump or just pump itself? Could the gauges not functioning be causing this new problem?
The gauge problem sounds like the common issue on the 03-05 Sunfire instrument clusters where the stepper motors on the cluster's circuit board fail over time. It can be fixed, check out this page for more on how to get it repaired - Sunfire instrument cluster fix
