Try to get a bottle of transmission sealant first, or sometimes called stop leak. add that, see how it goes for a while. if happens again, then look at hoses and connections, if still happens maybe radiator or a puncture some where

Blown head gasket 2001 oldsmobile aurora

IF it was any gasket issue you would be losing coolant or getting air into the coolant, usually causing it to overflow. You have not said any of these things, so I would suspect this is an issue with the fluid not moving through the engine, either because it is blocked, or because the water pump is not moving it.

2001 olds aurora has several problems. 1. oil pressure lights comes on intermitantly 2. fuel gauge does not work 3. transmission shifts hard intermitantly

Classic 2001 Aurora problems!1) I have found the oil pressure light comes on intermittently as well. Check the oil quality and level. On mine I have not needed to do anything else.
2) If your willing, this is a relatively inexpensive repair...http://aurorah.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=nextgeneration&action=display&thread=5353&page=2

01 olds aurora 4.0 low coolant light on. Where is the sensor located?

The coolant level sensor is inside the coolant bottle. It is not replaceable separately. You will have to replace the reservoir to replace the sensor.

2001 Aurora water pump replaced but now every time car is started Low engine coolant warning comes on but goes out when reset and doesn't come back on until car is started. Checked and coolant level is...

On the Owner's Manual there's a procedure you have to follow to bleed the air in the cooling system, until you bleed the system for air, the low coolant light will come on every time.

The process is rather simple and quick, all you need is a flat head screw driver.

DO NOT OPEN THE COOLING SYSTEM WHEN HOT.

I JUST PURCHASED A 2001 OLDSMOBILE AURORA AND AT

Could be a head gasket, check compression on all cylinders, Check oil level and see if the dipstick has any moisture on it. Check the radiator coolant for exhaust oder or crankcase oil. Also make sure there is not old gasoline in the tank in the event the vehicle has been stored for a length of time.

Cooling fans will not come on my 1997 olds aorura

This could be a lot of things, check the fuse for the cooling fans, then check the coolant level, and if there is air in the cooling system this will happen, and of course the coolant sensor could be at fault, and the cooling fan relay.
