Question about 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe
I have a 2002 Tahoe Z71 and when I start the engine and turn on the AC it blows warm air. When I start accelerating then it will start to cool down. Does anyone else have this problem and is there a fix?
I had the exact same problem as you described on my 02 Tahoe. I took it in for freon recharge at local mechanic shop, but didn't have mechanic check for leak. 2 months later same problem. I took it to Pep Boys and had them check for leak ($35) which they found in the clutch switch. They charged me $26 for the part plus $45 for the labor. Happy to report that the ac has worked fine since then.
Do yourself a favor and pay for them to check for leak BEFORE you waste your money on recharge.
