There is currently an open recall on the 2006 Pontiac G5 that concerns the ignition switch - you should contact a GM dealer to see if your vehicle qualifies, if it does you can have it fixed at no charge

SOURCE: Key is stuck in ignition

the shifter lever has a plastic shaft. at the bottom of the shaft there is a metal pin that is pressed through it that presses against a switch that will then activate the solinoid which allows key to be able to come out of the cylinder. the problem is the plastic shaft cracks and pin loosens, so switch will not be pressed by the pin. GM only sells the whole shifter assembly. takes some mechanical ability to change this shifter mechanism. good luck

SOURCE: how do i put down the back seats in a 2006 G5

Hi,

It is very easy. Open the trunk and look inside for two small rings near the top lip of the trunk located at about the middle of the seats or one third of the way in from each side of the trunk. Pull on the ring (about one inch, firmly) and push on the back of the seat or go inside the car and pull on the back of the seat.

Where is the fuse box in the 2006 pontiac G5 (pursuit). my wipers went out on me and i think thats where the problem is...but i dont have a manual and i dont know where the fuse box is located thankyou

It is either under the hood, on the passenger side. Its located in a black box that has either a lightning bolt on it, or says fuses. the box is near the battery if that helps. or It is in the fuse box - located on the left side of the dash board.
