Question about 2006 Hyundai Sonata
2006 SONATA, ENGING LIGHT CAME ON AND CAR LOST POWER, STARTS BUT WON'T EXCELERATE
I have had my check engine light come on several times and my car is sluggish. I took it to dealership each time, first they said it was loose gas cap, once they suggested getting fuel injectors cleaned which I did, then they said that the oil intake was too much at one time causing the engine to miss. They eventually replaced the oil solenoid valve and my check engine light does not come on but the car still misses when I accelerate. My warranty is almost out and I am afraid it is going to be a huge expense for me in the future. Any suggestions on what I should do???

I had the same problem and the dealership replaced the accelerator under warranty. The problem is in the accelerator, which is a drive "by wire" set up. The module is worth about $300 plus. In my case the dealership was able to confirm the problem through the computer codes.

I had the same problem except the abs and tcs lights came on too. It took 3 trips to the dealership. First they replace the throttle assembly and adjusted the abs sensors. Second time they adjusted 2 sensors and replaced 1. Last time the car was out of warranty but they decised to replace the other 2 sensors that they previously adjusted. So far so good.
