Where are the abs. sensors located at?

The ABS sensors are located on the back side of each wheel in the area of the brakes. The sensors should not keep the car from running. A warning light should display on the dash, but should not keep the car from running.

Abs

Very common problem on Chevy SUV's
Take the sensor out and see if the ABS RING (the little teeth) in that hole are all rusted up. also try taking one of the washers off the Sensor before putting it back in the Bearing Hub. Sometimes the sensor is gapped too far away from the Ring

Toyota cavalier 1996 the abs light, how?

Toyota cavalier??? Chevy tacoma???
You might have a wheel sensor issue (part of the wheel bearing assembly) It tell the abs computer the wheel speed, and if one is bad, it will error the abs, and turn the light on. You can get this checked with an abs scanner hooked up, or ohm out all of your speed sensors with a meter.

1996 Chevy K1500 4L60 Transmission having problems shifting speedometer is at Zero no movement and ABS light comes on.

The vehicle speed sensor is not working, it is located in the transmission tailshaft. The computer uses this speed info to shift the transmission, and tell when the rear wheels are locked up so the ABS will function.

Where is the abs sensor on a 1998 chevy venture

there are four ABS sensors. one behind each wheel in the hub assmebly just follow the shielded wiring harness down to the sensor, it is at the behind the brake rotor in the hub assmebly, the lock up problem is not the sensor, the function of ABS is to stop lock up of the wheel, this problem is caused by a leaking ABS hydraulic control unit, that is the part with all the brake lines coming out of it
