Jeff Tourcotte, I am experiencing this same problem. I unhooked crank and cam sensor and still blow the fuses. Any chance you can email these diagrams to me seeing I can not get them to open?

there is a short behind the dash somewhere i had an 06 cobalt kept blowing that fuse. it pissed me off couse when it wout blow i lost my boost gauge so i put a circuit breaker in it WRONG thing to do i wnt in to donut shop like always one morning came out n car was full of smoke pulled the dash apart n found that there was wires pinched between the dash and firewall costme a new wire harness and a bcm and a computer flash. live n learn iguess

The diagram below shows everything that runs on that fuse. Check the wiring on these items for a short. If wiring is good, there is a simple way to see which item is shorting out. Unhook all the connectors (don't unhook the VCM) and put a fresh fuse in. Turn the key on--does the fuse still blow? If yes, there is a short in the wiring. If no, the short is in one of the items you unplugged. Now pulg them back one at a time with the key on. Check the fuse after each item until it is burned. Then you will know which part to replace. My first guess would be the coil. Let me know if you can't find any of these or if you have other questions.
