You have not described it very well so it could be a number of different items.

If it sounds like a rotational clunk the it will possibly be the CV joints that need replacing.

If it is not a rotational type clunk then it will most likely be a suspension component. It could be as simple as a worn suspension bushing that it allowing metal to metal contact or something much more significant in the front suspension system.

Without physically checking the vehicle it is difficult to be more definitive but needless to say you must have it checked out and the cause identified.

Check u-joints and cv-joints. When they wear out it can cause play in the drivetrain, causing a 'clunk' when you put the car in reverse (and usually from reverse to drive). But, it sounds likely that this is what's causing your problem.

2001 Saturn SL1. Transmission (automatic) shifts hard when putting it in gear and every gear there after. The only codes I get is PO442 and PO410. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check motor mounts.

The clonk sounds like you have a loose nut on the mainshaft of your transmission, I don't have an article on it yet, but for now you can also check these 2:

I think what you were saying is your reverse slams, and only when you give it gas.
You can try to do the reverse slam fix, which is easy to do:

If it doesn't work, your valve body is probably bad, here is how to swap it, in case you are up for the challenge:
