2006 Kia Sedona lx spare tire located

On the Sedona the spare tyre is mounted underneath the centre of the car.
On the floor behind the front seats is a small plastic cover. Unclip this with a small screwdriver. This reveals a bolt head which is the same size as the wheel nuts. Unwind this bolt and it will lower the spare tyre to the floor.
It is held up on a cable so keep winding to give you some slack to slide the tyre out from under the car. The cable's 'T' bar threads up through the centre hole.

How do I change a tire on 2010 Routan?

place the hand brake on firmly--chock other wheels . loosen off the wheel nuts . jack the vehicle up finish removing the wheel nuts . pull the wheel of the studs . fit replacement spare wheel onto studs . do wheel nuts up as tight as possible . lower jack so that the wheel is on the ground . finish tightening the wheel nuts . Replace the jack and wrench in the boot along with the flat tyre . Take the flat tyre to a tyre shop for a puncture repair and have it fixed immediately. Most "people" leave the repair to a later time when they will need a spare that they do not have .The tyre change process is fully described in the owners hand book for your vehicle.

Can not remove the knob on top of the spare tire of a 2008 Prius. I can get the plastic knob to turn but it won't come off. It feels like the knob is separated from the bolt inside or the threads...

You have to smash or cut off the plastic knob, and then use a tool to take out the bolt.

Remember though to first let the air out of the tyre before you try this.
It is likely that the tyre was inflated after the bolt had been screwed in, thus the air pressure actually caused the tyre to widen and grip the securing bolt too tightly.

How to lower spare tire

Find a plastic cover located in the carpet at the back right corner. Lift the cover to locate a nut the size of a lugnut of your tires. Using the van's lugnut wrench, turn nut counter-clockwise to lower the spare tire. Have fun and don't pinch yourself while removing the tire.

I can't change my renault scenic tyre

Hello. When a spare hasn't been removed in 5 years it can get a bit rusted in place. The best bet is to put some air in the tire that is flat and drive to a tire store where they have the tools necessary to remove that spare with ease and a rack to lift u p the car. Joe

Release the spare tire?

The spare tyre is on a cradle under the rear of the car. the long crank handle is clipped onto the underside of carpeted boot floor board. The crank handle goes into the hole just above the bumper in the centre of the rear bumper, then wind down the chain and support to release the spare wheel.

Pull latch on spare tire carrier is broken

Don't know this car, but should be not very much different:

No entire spare tyre there as common today I believe but a so called home comer.

Fixed back down under in the back boot, with a wooden ply board cover?
One bolt to fix her down is common.
Probably you are talking that you can not open the boot because hatch near driver seart is broken or the lock on your boot. Experienced that.
Then you have to struggle in by clapping rear seats down
Get all out and .
Most unwise is to free/ cut the points to which that boot board is hanging.

Now you can't Move the key to open the boot
to fix any rear lock problem. This problem is not the lock mostly (unless you already tried lubing that lock) but the cable coming from front drivers side that unlatches from the inside. It neds to be made moveable again.
Crawling in is a bit dificult to do so.
If only the handle is broken at drivers side, get access at that point by removing the seat (4 bolts I think, Have to shift that seat a bit to retract all four) Try to get now to that mechanism there and fix or replace what is broken. I doubt that the cable itself to the rear is broken.

If that car is in good shape, undoubtedly (only 2001) better have a mechanic at a dealer do it the fastest cheap way, since he has the fastest trick and the original part. If kept well these cars are to last 200.000 miles and 15 years easily. If you maintain them properly. Before becoming an independent brand, KIA has been an outstanding assembling contractor for bigger brands on the market.

So don't break anything you regret later.
Mostly these problems arise from not greasing, lubricating and cleaning the mechanisme.

REMOVING THE SPARE WHEEL ON A RENAULT MEGAN

The spare wheel is located under the rear boot carpet.BUT some meganes do not come with a spare as its an optional extra when the car is purchased. If there is no spare, then a can of foam and a small compressor to repair and inflate the punctured tyre, should be fitted.
