Help.. I have an 2002 dodge caravan witha 3.3. The codes pulled from it are P0700and P0605 which i know is with the Tcm but I have no power to the tcm plug unless you take the negative off from the battery...

HI, the actual p700 is an indication of a stored code that exists within the TCM module. The actual code will be the p0605, which is an internal failure alert that exists within the actual tcm module board sector. There may be board level damage to the internal layout which is causing a major short or misdirection or power to the vital circuits needed to provide necessary direction for the transmission. You will need to replace the module at this point. It is not repairable, unfortunately, due to the state of its design. Once it is replaced, it will need to be re-calibrated by a dealer scan tool before normal speedometer function will resume.

In conclusion, replacing the TCM will correct this issue. I would also inspect all connecters for faults before installing the new module.

TRANSMISSION HAS TO BE REPROGRAMMED IF NEW ELECTRONIC PARTS PUT IN OR YOU BUY A NEW TRANSMISSION.BECAUSE TRANSMISSION IS PCM AND TCM CONTROLLED NEW PARTS HAS TO BE REPROGRAMMED TO THE PCM AND TCM BEFORE TRANSMISSION WILL SHIFT CORRECT.

2002 Dodge Grand Caravan I just put a master computer on. Is there a way that I can reset it? The engine runs fine so I know it works but it wont shift properly.

Hope you put a PCM in. TCM is in side the PCM. The TCM sometimes needs a brake in period. 200 miles. If not call the dealer to have then flash the PCM with the updates. Around $80 at the dealer. Tell them you want to FLASH to PCM for bump shifting. Any Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge dealer can do this in 1 hour. Thers a Chrysler TSB #2101807 Dated 10-27-07 about Transmission Reprogramming. If the dealer put the PCM take it back tell them about the TSB

P0700, P0750 and P0755 codes I was driving at 65 mph and the 2003 Dodge Caravan down shifter to low gear and the check engine light came on. It will not ship to high gear.

P0700 (M)
Check Transmission DTC's
This code indicates that the EATX (Transmission controller) has an active fault and has illuminated the MIL via a BUS message. The specific fault must be acquired from the EATX via a DRBIII tool. (Input or Output Speed Sensor failures often cause this code and are a common failure part on WJ Grand Cherokees

P0750
Shift Solenoid circuit.
Note: If code P1767 (Transmission Relay Always On) is also present: Replace transmission solenoid assembly. See note provided. When transmission is in limp mode the relay that provides power to the solenoid group is switched off. This is normal and is designed to provide operation in one gear only. Engineering department suggests to replace transmission solenoid assembly anytime these two trouble codes occur together. See applicable service manual section (21) for solenoid assembly replacement directions. IMPORTANT: When performing this repair always check torque on all valvebody accumulator cover plate screws. Proper torque specification is 70 inch pounds. If any accumulator cover plate screws are damaged or missing replace the valvebody assembly. NOTE: If any other trouble codes are present do not replace solenoid assembly. See test in the applicable Transmission Diagnostic Procedures Manual

2000 Dodge Caravan PCM replacement

2001 Dodge Caravan died warming up in the driveway last weekend. Turned the key and no engine cranking. Lights on the dash all lit and completed internal diagnostics normally. Keyless entry worked and the battery seemed OK. On closer inspection there was no clicking from the starter that would indicate a weak battery, nor were there any Diagnostic Trouble codes (DTC's) set by the computer (PCM) -I have a scan tool. Checked fuses and relays with volt meter in the realy center next to the PCM. By by following the schematic (using a Haynes manual) I was able to supply battery to the starter (the engine cranked just fine) and the fuel pump (it ran).

On further investigation I determined that the PCM was not supplying ground to the Automatic Shutdown Relay, or the Start relay. As the camshaft sensor and/or the crankshaft sensor can tell the PCM to shutdown, I repalced those two items on a long shot to no avail. Had the car towed to a shop I work with and they came to the same conclusion that I did -- the PCM needed replacement.

Called NAPA and they sold reconditioned units for about $170 (with core return) there was a nationwide backorder on them (Don't know why). Found an online outfit All Computer Resources, that had refurb units. The unit was more expensive, but they programmed the VIN and milage in before shipping. I had the unit overnighted to the shop. It arrived the next morning and I had my fingers crossed. The VIN determines the PIN for the passive security system (SKIS code). But, there were no problems. I picked the car up the next day. So far it's running just fine.

PS: if you pick a unit up from the junk yard you will have to get the VIN programmed in before it will run. It might start, but the security system will shut it down. Hope this helps someone.
