I thought I already posted this...but do not see it....solution to wont run when half full.....lift out rear seat, open tank access where the lines run into gas tank/fuel pump. The pump has a metal corral around it to keep gas there when the tank is sloshing or on a hill. This corral is fed from the rest of the tank by a tube in the bottom of it which has rusted closed. Using tin snips, I cut the side of the metal corral to allow gas in that way and have had no problems with this from 2 years ago to date.

Gas tank will not fill up on 2001 ford expedition

Gas as in gasoline or gas as in LPG gas? If its petrol, the fuel sender may be out of adjustment. (Usually means a new sender) If its LPG, the fuel stations are set to automatically shut off at 80% full. The gas tank will never actually be full to the brim but the gauge should be showing full if the gas nozzle keeps shutting off. Have a look on the LPG tank itself, they have a little gauge on them which shows how full it is. I have 2 tanks on my car , when "full" or when the pump shuts down, the tank gauges show just under full but the gauge on the cars dash shows full (2005 BA Ford)

sounds like your breather tube on your gas tank filler tube is clogged when you look at where you fill your tank youll see a little small hole next to the filler tube that is a hose that lets your tank breathe chances are it is plugged

Ford probe idle fluctuating

Sounds like you have bad gas. It can get strong mix of gas to give you the right idle, but when it has water mix, it will cause the car to fire like it should. This will then give you a low, rough, or just cutting off idle. Try mixing water remover in with the gas. You may have to drain the gas out or just drive it like it is until the tank is almost empty. Fill up with gas (from a different store) and you may want to change the plugs after the good gas is through the system. I'm not saying the plugs are bad, but there may be a lot of moisture beads from the water sitting causing rust.

When car is sitting idle; I hear the hesitation. When foot is on the brake the hesitation and little jurking is very noticable; but it doesn't cut off nor does any lights come on the panel. Could it be bad...

It could be the fuel, especially these days with the different suppliers and additives, not to mention the extreme moisture in the air & seeping into the fuel tanks at local stations.

If you know your car doesn't need a standard tune up, the air-filter, fuel filter, and spark plugs have been maintained and are working properly you may just need to have the injectors cleaned, or use a little fuel injector cleaner every few tanks of gas to clean them up.

I always fill my fuel filter & those I'm servicing with fuel injector cleaner when I replace them. (1/2 full) This has seemed to provide ample cleaning for most as I've never had an injector issue return to me.

Try some regular fuel injector cleaner available at wal-mart or any parts store. Not the expensive bottle that claims it will make your car perfect just the regular 2.99 a bottle stuff. When your car is at about 1/2 tank on the fuel gauge, add a bottle & drive that tank to 1/8. After refilling later & getting down to about 1/2 tank add another bottle. This should do some good if you're talking about hesitation & minor idle changes that don't trigger sensor problems.

Of course if any of the parts mentioned need to be replaced, this would be the time.

good luck

Engine hesitation, the trac off light comes and car hesitates.

This is just a shot... Get a Can of "SeaFoam" and pour it into your gas tank with a full tank of gas. Then take it for a "Spirited" drive on the freeway or highway for at least 30 minutes to an hour. (Longer is better) i have had many cars with a little hesitation or sputtering fixed with this awsome product. it is a very powerful cleaner that has chemicals that other brands simply do not have. Conditions should have improved after your 1 hour drive. and will continue to improve as you continue to drive with that treated tank of gas. If the problem persists then you need to get the OBD trouble codes and let it direct you to the failed part. At least you would rule dirt "Out of the Question" (Also read the can for other things that Seafoam can fix on your car and how to use it) also does wonders for a couple cap-fuls in the lawn-mower...Chainsaw....Snowblower...etc i Hope this helps you out... Good Luck!

1995 Saab 900 Won't Take A Fill Up

Sorry if this gets posted twice. I have a 95 Saab 900, which I just acquired. I can get only about 4 or 5 gallons in at a time. The best analysis I found was this one where the man pinpoints a stuck valve in the gas tank, and tells of what he did to address it.: http://www.quasimotors.com/9_5_gas_fill_prob.htm
