Question about 1997 Chevrolet Camaro
I have full power to the dash, headlights, radio, etc. The car acts like it is not completely in park when i try to start it. The starter is not getting signal to start. I checked the fuses and relays and i cant find one that is bad. The car doesnt even draw any power when i turn the key to start it. Nothing happends. The car started one week and than the following week it wouldnt start. I cant figure this out. Any advise would be helpful. Thanks
Hold your foot firmly on the brake and turn the key to the start position, then while holding it, slowly move the shift lever. If the car starts in any gear, adjust the neutral safety switch. Or, a bit safer, but not always as accurate, have someone stand behind the car and with the key in run position, put the car in reverse. If lights come on before or after you are in reverse, then you have same problem.
