Question about 1999 Chevrolet Venture

1 Answer

99 Venture, Passenger side gets cold, drivers side stays hot

99 Venture, I have the rear air option, but don't have individual controls for driver and passenger air temps. The driver's side doesn't get cold, but the passenger's side does. There's 3 vents in the middle, and the one on the right gets cold, but the two on the left are hot. I've charged the system to capacity and doesn't help.

Driver side vent blows hot air, passenger cold air with a/c on

Low Freon level can cause this. Also it can be caused by the left blend motor, have your freon charge checked first.

Usually a blend door problem, either the control or the blend door itself.

Air Conditioner blows hot on one side after battery DC

You need to replace the driver side temperature door control actuator. While doing this... make sure you bolt the new one in AND THEN PLUG IT IN or it will spin and not line up in the right place... then there is a series of crazy steps to fix that problem.
