It is located by the rear tire wheel wheel, jack the car up and support it on stands and look for the tray the canister is housed in, there will be wiring and hoses running to it.

My check eng. light came on and I had it checked and the two codes p0455 &p0449 showed up, what should I do about this?

P0455 stands for evap emissions detection leak and p0449 stands for evap emissions vent control circuit. You should go to a parts store and see if your able to purchase and install. Best of luck!

My 2003 doge g caravan shows engine light on. diagnostic code is p0455. I don't know what that code stands for. could you help me so that I can fix on time

A code p0455 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:
  • A loose or improperly affixed gas cap
  • A non-conforming gas cap (i.e. not factory/original brand)
  • Other leak or damaged piece in EVAP system
Possible Solutions With a p0455, the most common repair is to:
  • Remove and reinstall the gas cap, clear the codes, and drive for a day and see if the codes come back.
  • Otherwise, replace the gas cap, and/or
  • Inspect the EVAP system for cuts/holes in tubes/hoses (you may hear a vacuum noise or smell fuel), repair if necessary

P0172 stands for system too rich, probably caused by intake blockage, EVAP, fuel pressure, Injector or EGR fault.

I have problems putting fuel in the car ,it goes

its sounds like you got a evap blockage, not venting the fumes and causing the pump to stop,,,evap system fairly complex, i would highly rec take to dealer,,,gas and gas vapor is not something you want to mess around with

"EVAP inc"- explanation?

Evaporative emissions, or Evaporator core for A/C. I would look for a loose gas cap, or a leak in the EVAP system.
