The fuel filter is up by the gas tank and is a pain if you havent done it. you have to sometimes let the tank down some and the fuel filter its self is different than your reg fuel filter . but its on the drivers side of the car at the front drivers side of tank .

it depends on which model of vehicle and also what year it is most all fuel filters are located right by the gas tank or they are under the driver or passenger doors it will be located in one of the two spots hope this helps you and have a wonderful day
Yes you can. I believe you can!
The Fuek Filter is located above the Fuel Tank. You don' have to remove the Fuel Tank but you do have to slightly lower one side of the Fuel Tank to gain access to the Fuel Filter and hose connection to the Fuel Tank from the Fuel Filter. Slightly lowering the tank requires not removing completely the bolts holding the metal straps.
Take you time. Do this a away from a heating source. Have a Fire extinguisher in the Ready Position (Ring Lock pulled and readily (immediately) available). Do not smoke while changing. Have ventilation and kitty litter to absorb any spilled gasoline. AND Disconnect the negative side of the Battery before starting.
The fuel filter is usually located under one of the back doors on the underside of the car. Most vehicles require special tools to remove the fuel lines from the filter. Some cars merely use plastic clips to secure the lines. Make sure the pressure has been relieved from the fuel lines prior to removing the lines from the filter
The Fuel Filter is located:
Under vehicle, driver side, below seating area,
driver side of fuel tank, mounted on frame in fuel
Here is the replacement procedure. Hope this helps Lefty64
Fuel supply lines on all vehicles equipped with fuel injected
engines will remain pressurized for long periods after engine shutdown.
The pressure must be relieved before servicing these fuel systems.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Depressurize the fuel system.
Remove the filter bracket retainer.
For plastic type fittings:
Grasp the filter and one fuel line fitting. Twist the quick connect fitting
turn in each direction to loosen any dirt within the fitting. Repeat for the other fuel line fitting.
Squeeze the plastic retainer release tabs and pull the connection apart. Repeat for the other fitting.
For metal type fittings:
Use a fuel pipe quick-connect separator J37088 or equivalent. This is available from your local parts store.
Insert the tool into the female side of the connector, then push inward to release locking tabs. Pull the connection apart.
