Question about 2008 Scion Tc

Changes brakes on Scion tc. One wheel now sticks.

I just changed my brake pads on my 2006 Scion tC. Only problem I ran into was that now my back, drivers side brakes stick. It was tight getting the part of the caliper back on, but I figured it would release itself when I started the car. No luck. I drove it for 5 minutes and the brakes were smokin! How to fix?

There are disc brakes on all four wheels.

What kind of rubber hose? The brake line?

Are they disc brakes or drum brakes?

make sure the two pins you bolt the caliper back onto arent frozen like mine were. caliper was going on really cruked and thats what would cause your extra heat and seizure. put old pads back on until you change those pins or the whole caliper bracket

if you have to force stuff back on its usually not on right. also make sure your rotor still spins somewhat freely before putting your wheel back on. my issue whick seems to be the most common was that the new pad on the outter side was pulling the caliper to far out and since the pin was frozen it had to be forced on resulting in way too much pressure on that outside pad. wheel wont spin. put old ones back on if u need to drive

I have a 2006 scion tc 5 spd doesnt read my speed i change my wheel sensors all 4 tire and stil doesnt read my speed i also change my cluster and still doesnt work any idea what could be also giving m

the dash speed readout is allways feed via the transmission speed sensor , it's usually close to the final drive output from transmission , this not working would also effect car if it had a automatic trans in it as it would not know what speed to shift at, a little less obvious in a 5 speed , wheel sensors usually only feedback to ABS brake system as they tell abs what tires are turning

2005 Scion tC, I've replaced the Rear Brake pads and rotors twice in the same year and the driver side brake pad is down to the metal again (this has happened twice now) and the passenger side barely has...

I would say you are right on your idea and you may have to keep trying different shops. It could be a sticking caliper or a faulty brake hose, even the parking brake if that connects to the calipers.

Abs pump keeps running on a 2006 toyota scion . Ran a check and it said i have bad speed sensor could this be the reason why the abs wont turn off

Yes! it more than likely is the cause, Wheel speed sensors work together on all four tires, when one sensor reads a different speed than the rest, it causes the antilock brakes to activate. Check your harness connections, make sure they are properly connected, and the wiresn have no breaks, or obvious problems. you may have to have this diagnosed to find wich sensor is causing your grief! hope this helps

What is the average time it will take to change brakes and brake fluid on a 2006 Scion Tc?

If you are talking about changing the brake pads on the vehicle all the way around it would take approximately 2 hrs. To change the brake fluid about another hour or so.........but not sure as to why you are going to change the brake fluid. If you not sure if the brake fluid is good or not go to your local parts store and get the brake test strip test kit and test your fluid to see if the integrity of it is still ok. Most of the time brake fluid will last a long time without any problems.
