Grinding noise on 2002 Olds Bravada

Every time we pull our Bravada into the drivewar (Turning the front wheels) it makes a loud grinding sound.
Replace the bearing hub. The brakes are working fine and did not see any other visable issues

You are right. However usually a CV usually makes a clicking noise, right? This sounds more like grinding. Does the inner joints make the lower grinding? Sounds like you may have hit it on the head

Try making tight turns to the right and then to the left. see if the grinding noise comes and goes. It could be your C/V joint and they need to be replaced. The noise will only come when your making the tight turns, you don't have to go fast. Walking speed will do and you can hear it with the window open or someone walking beside the Bravada. Good luck and keep me posted. Be glad to help.

I've had a C/V joint go bad and it was dry (no grease) and made grinding noise. The front C/V joints don't work all the time so you past the clicking noise made by the ball bearing in the C/V joint cage. But when it's passed that the two haves of the C/V joint starts to grind because the ball bearings may have fallen out of the C/V joint cage. Good luck and hope it's that and not the locking hub in the front differential.

It sounds like a wheel bearing is going bad. They are easy to change. If you have a place to jack the vehicle up. Try spinning the front wheels. You should hear a scraping noise as the wheel turns. Also replace both sides at the same time,as the otherside is not far behind.

Backing up very loud grinding like bearings

I would investigate the transfer case. By your description here it sounds as if the gears inside are worn and the drive chain inside is rubbing, causing the loud noise you hear.
