How Do I Fix Service Ride Control warning on Dash, And what is it?

  • The magnetic ride control system senses speed and oscillation of suspension and adjusts shock dampening for a comfortable ride. If a shock is bad or the suspension sensors are damaged in anyway the system deactivates and does to a default setting, and the warning comes on. Did you hit any real bad potholes? or probably just wear and tear.. You need to have your suspension system checked.. shocks, control arms, alignment, etc.

The compressor for the air ride stopped working, went to junkyard biught another however, still nothing. does something need to be reset or am I forced to pay $600.00 for a new one?

I would use a test light to see if the air ride compressor is even getting current. If it isn't, then the module for the air ride control may be bad, or the height level sensor at the back axle needs to be checked for being damaged physically, or, that it is functioning correctly according to your test light.

I wouldn't buy a new one for $600.00 unless it's determined that it is burnt out.

If it's not possible for you to test these items easily, then maybe take it to an auto electric shop to diagnose the problem for you.

Good luck on this electrical ride height repair problem.

The traction control light as well as the parking light as well as the abs light comes on when i start my car. don't know whats wrong

you have a bad speed sensor in one of the hub assy buying the hub and bearing is almost cheaper then buying the sensor and you get the sensor with it. take the car to a reputible shop that can run an on board diagnostic on the car to find wich sensor it is all they have to do is plug it in and take it for a little ride

When starting in cold weather, the car races and then almost stalls (revs go between 400 to 2300), after it warms up it's fine.

I would look at the coolant temp sensor.  The sensor is what controls the idle when temp is below a certain degree so it wont stall because it is cold.  To over ride this feature you need to press the gas pedal to the floor then start it.  If it works as it should go to your local parts store and buy a coolant temp sensor and change it out.  If you are not familiar with your car you can buy a Haynes manual and it will walk you through the process step by step.

I had two problems posted for my Ford Explorer 1998 P1400 Differential Press Feedback EGR Circuit low input Po455 Mod $10 3/4 EVAP EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM LEAK (LARGE) How can I fix it and how can I go...

CODE PO455 EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM LEAK DETECTED.POSSIBLE CAUSE - CANISTER VENT SOLENOID STUCK OPEN OR.FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR HAS FAILED MECHANICALLY.OR BAD FUEL CAP. CODE PO1400 -DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE FEED BACK EGR SENSOR CIRCUIT LOW VOLTAGE DETECTED.POSSIBLE CAUSE -DPF EGR SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND OR DPF EGR SIGNAL VREF CIRCUIT OPEN OR DPF EGR SENSOR IS DAMAGED OR HAS FAILED.I WOULD HAVE GARAGE OR DEALERSHIP TO USE THEIR DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT TO CHECK OUT YOUR EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM.AND EGR VALVE BECAUSE PARTS IS TOO EXPENSIVE TO BUY.IF YOU DONT NEED THEM.SEE YOU CAN REPLACE THE DPF EGR SENSOR AND THE CANISTER VENT SOLENOID.BUT IT COULD BE A LEAKING GAS CAP OR SOMETHING ELSE.SO LET GARAGE CHECK IT OUT.TO BE ON SAFE SIDE.NOW YOU CAN BUY THOSE 2 SENSORS AND IT COULD FIX YOUR RIDE.I KNOW MONEY IS TIGHT ECONOMY IS IN BAD SHAPE.

Service ride and service stability what does that mean?

this means that you have a fault with your stability control system. the stability control is designed to prevent a rollover it detects body roll when you are driving the ride control is the air suspension sytem this keeps ride hieght the same based on how wieght is in the vehicle. check the links that connect the switches to the suspension you may have one dissconnected (these links wear out over time you night have to replace them) there is one on each wheel postion if you need anything else let me know

Service ride control

more than likely its a bad wheel sensor or some kind of sensor, the ride control monitors the traction and suspension, I had to replace a wheel sensor that caused the service ride control, i think the part was around 90.00 and the dealer charged around 50.00 to put it in, more than likely that is your problem, just cross your fingers to hope its nothing more
