Question about 1994 Jeep Cherokee Country

Seemed to run fine but left overnight it wont start in the morning and it seemed to have no spark, I tried a differant coil, still nothing .

Check...don't just replace the crank sensor (on bellhousing even with flywheel on drivers side harness goes up on that side near back of engine & master cyl. You should have no continuity between b&c terminals (show open circuit) If any connection at all its bad. (check with ohmeter)

You changed the ignition coil from distributor right?
secondly make sure distributor is not internally shattered (which is a common problem). Normally the current comes from Crank sensor or cam shaft sensor !

Either a weak battery or a defective starter. Have you checked your battery voltage when it will not crank? Cleaned your battery terminals?

Suzuki wagon r+gl check engine light keeps flashing and wont start after battery change


the engine (there are more than one engine)
has a distributor.
"have spark at coil down to dizzy but no spark at plugs"
this can mean only 2 things.
1: spark wires are dead. all 4, kinda hard to believe huh?
2: the dizzy is way off time. so time the dizzy and now spark
lands on each wire term.
if not a dizzy engine, post exact version of engine and country.

2007 fusion no spark on any coils.

The Coil Pack*s is toast. And spark plug*s All 6.
It is recommended: These parts two Coil Packs, and 6 spark plugs/& maybe wires, are purchased from Original Equipment Manufactuer (OEM)

Car won't start. Cranks fine, but no fire.


And do you have spark at the plug wires when it won't start? You need to check to see if you have spark at the plug wires. You can buy a simple tester for under $10.00 at the parts store and it will show you if you are getting spark.

Turns over, wont start


shut it off to add coolant to pick up tank then wouldent run.? what do you mean?

Car wont start or starts and runs for apr 10 secs then dies


Hmmm.....Thing's to check..
1) check for loose connection's @ the dizzy, the coil, and alternater
2) fuel injecter's
3)Check for vacuum leak's around the inlet manifold/ throttle body
4) check air control valve.

Check the Hall Effect pickup which is under the distributor rotor. It will cause the problems you are describing if it fails. It might be sticking, then when you play with the cap or rotor you jar it loose for a while. It tells the computer that the engine is turning, like a crank sensor. Cheap fix if that's what it is.
