It's better to bleed around the car but easier to do it from under the hood. If you bleed from each wheel you start from the wheel furtherest from Reservoir..Have someone pump brake, Hold it, and release purge valve (have a tube in a transparent bottle of of brake fluid) so you can see the bubbles. Keep doing until you reach reservoir side

What does 'Trac" have to do with The ABS system on a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT?

Your traction control and ABS system use the same wheel speed sensors to control each system. They are separate, but use the same inputs to let the computers know what the wheels are doing.

Sounds like you have a slight bit of air still left in the system. There are 2 bleeders 1 on the t-stat housing and 1 over the water pump housing.Try bleeding again.

Brake fluid is not getting to the rear brakes. The master cylinder is working. I do not know if the ABS is working, probably not since the ABS warning light is on in the dash. Could the proportioning valve...

there more than likely air in the abs system and there should be bleeders on the abs module try bleeding the abs system first then once you have good fluid there then bleed the rear brakes again

Abs lights on, etc button not working

The abs control module is located under the hood, on the drivers side, below the master cylinder on the fenderwell. Replacing it can be a hassle, as first you have to break free all the steel brake lines going to it, and it's a bit of a pain to bleed. It has to be done a certain way, or it won't operate normally.

ABS light is on and no traction light is on. I have a Pontiac Grand Prix 2001 gt. Light stays on always. I don't feel a problem with the brakes.

Check around all wheels to make sure the wires going to the wheel are intact and plugged in tightly. I had the same thing on my 2000 G.P. GT, in my case it was just a broken wire to one of the wheels.
