There are a couple of bulletins from GM on valves causing these codes. # 05-06-01-030D and #PIP3063C are the bulletin #'s you need to have them look at. They are related to the valves in the cylinder head causing your exact symptoms. You should contact another dealer or GM customer assistance with this info. Good Luck

Code p0300

Code 300 is for a random miss that is not serious enough to name a cylinder.
You may have to wait until the problem is bad enough to cause a steady miss. It could be caused by a spark plug or injector among other things.

What is the code po300 on 2005 aveo

p0300 indicates a misfire, that can relate to spark or fuel causing one cylinder or more to not operate correctly. If the ses light is on steady or flashing, or if the code is current, you should take your vehicle to the dealer to have it checked out.

Car runs greAt BUT FLASHES LITE PO300 P1781

P0300 is a random engine misfire code. P 1781 is a transmission code, but it refers to a malfunctioning engine speed signal (crankshaft angle sensor). A bad crankshaft angle sensor or camshaft angle sensor can cause the P0300 code. A large list of items can cause a P0300 code, but since you have both, I'd be checking the crankshaft angle sensor and the related circuit. Sometimes, the mounting screws loosen up, which can cause the sensor to not function properly, all the time. Get this fixed, because over a period of 4 to 6 months, this can destroy the catalytic converter in the exhaust system ($$$$)
