First sounds like a stopped up fuel filter, and when you say tune up was it plugs wires and not coil ? if it had a missfire for a time it could have ruined the cat but i bet its the fuel filter if it hasnt been replaced.

I have a 89 buick park avenue ultra. my

the transmission breaking apart but in a really slow way. There's not a thing that can be done to save it. It's going to someday give out. You can prolong it by not punching on the pedal to test it. just drive it normally and DON"T get the trans oil change. Just leave it alone... I own 89 P/Ave 156,000 original owner. Same thing happened to my car and picked up a used trans at junk yard and my mechanic installed it and runs like a baby at half the price(700.00). If you go to junk yards half of the park ave are because of trans. Good luck
