2002 buick century-change oil light is on

This is my mother-in-law's car (86 years old) and she is in another state so i cant see the manual. she says the ''change oil'' light is on. does this just mean it has arrived at a pre-set mileage or is it a true trouble warning?

The 2.8 engine in a 1986 Century uses a carb instead of fuel injection. So it uses a mechanical pump that goes in the side of the engine.

My mother in laws 2002 century blower only works on high..

It is not the blower motor.
On the 2002 model, I am showing an HVAC control module and a blower control processor. The control module handles the temp control and blower speed, and the processor contains the resistor for slower blower speeds.
Which component did you replace ?

The oil pan is on the bottom of the engine, so any oil leaks from the top or front of the engine could drain down and look like an oil pan leak. It's important to verify that there are no other leaks before having the oil pan resealed. Repair cars by diagnostic tool.

As long as the body is in good shape than there should be no problem fixing a rusted brake line. They don't have to look pretty or be routed in the exact same position as the old one. In fact many times I leave the old lines in as not to disturb the other lines around them. All they have to do is work. I have fixed many brake lines in GM cars than where in mint condition and rusted out beater for less than a couple hundred dollars.

Chech oil. If it has coolant in it you may need to replace the intake manifold gaskets and lifters, if you have not ruined it already.
