2003 Mercury mountaineer high pitch whining sounds like front passengers side- just started today - worse when you accelerate - husband thinks it might be idler pulley bearing??

If it is the idler pulley for the accessory belt, it would make the sound at all times the engine is running, not just under acceleration. I would look to the wheel bearing or the brakes on that corner of the vehicle.

High pitched whine to the right front passenger side that appears to increase with acceleration

It is a wheel bearing, no doubt.
the wheel bearing is pressed in so if you do the job yourself you will need to take the hub somewhere to have the new bearing pressed in, but 100% the bearing.

Rearend prob.[noise]

Here are the common causes or rear end noises
Constant high pitched whine at all speeds: Pinion Bearings or Ring gear carrier bearings
Whine at steady speeds or whines on deceleration: Rear end gear set is worn and will need to be replaced.
Rumbling type of noises are caused by wheel bearings or a tire with a separated cord.

2000 Suburban: High-Pitched electronic whine near rear of surburb...

That "whine" is the fuel pump inside the tank. This usually gets louder at or below 1/4 tank. Expect the fuel pump to go out soon.

My air conditioning fan on the passenger side of the front of the vehicle sounds like it has a spun bearing and makes a high pitched whine intermitently and I don't have a jeep service manual to tear down...

the blower motor is under panel near glove box. remove connector then the 3 mounting screws that hold it in. if changing the motor, use old fan cage from blower to new one, remove retainer clip to take off of motor shaft.
