Question about 2000 Chevrolet S-10

1 Answer

My fuel system started having issues a few days ago. When I accelerate, if I push the peddle past half/third way the rpms would drop and would not accelerate.  yesterday/today it took a while starting it in the morning.  I put higher octane gas in and it started running a little better. Today I put a prestone fuel system treatment in and filled up w/ 93octane. pulling out of the gas station it stalled and won't start. thoughts??? -Phil

Take it to a Dealer and have a scanner put on it.Sounds like a fuel pump or possibly a sensor gone south.

How do I get fuel from fuel pump to carb on a 1994 Isuzu pickup truck after I install a new few pump?

The fuel pump is electric? It should feed the carb with a few pushes on the accelerator peddle with the key on. If not, try "starting fluid" available at local auto parts store. Comes in a spray can and you spray it into the top of the carb while someone else turns the key and pumps the gas peddle.

2007 kia rio acceleration will not go past 2500 rpms

there can be few things...first thing first
is your car missing...if yes then check plugs, any bad wire

- check for dirty fuel injectors (have u ever cleaned fuel tank) if ok then
- if u have easy access to intank fuel pump, replace its filter..
- check for bad TPS... if ok then
- check for bad O2 sensor

A bad PTS might be the culprit...
Hope this help

Automatic 330i 2001, if i start accelarating at 3rd gear the RPM keep increaing and if i release the gas the car should change to next gear but i does not...at low RPMs it is working fine

the gearbox is a "fuzzy logic"system.gearchange depends on accelerator pedal position/revs/load.if you drive without depressing the gas peddle more than a third down you should find all gearchanges much smoother.(if you drive with gas peddle almost hard down all the time yhe car will hold gears longer...poss 4500 revs or more......

RPMS drop wants to stall somtimes and hesatates in

I'd be curious to the miles on the engine, possible worn rings, poor compression. Start with basics first, be certain there are no vacuum leaks, next look to your fuel system; possible failing fuel pump (low fuel pressure) dirty fuel filter? (I'd start with the filter first, cheapest fix if it is the issue) other concerns could be injectors, plugged or failing (poor fuel spray) run a fuel systems cleaner for several tanks see if it will improve; but change that fuel filter first. Also the volts dropping off would make sence if the engine RPMs drop way off, too slow of a speed the alternator will make little if anything.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom

Wont accelerate!!!

Sounds like a wiring problem and the clicking could be a breaker kicking on and off. As for the surging in the R.P.M.'s I would be taking a look at your throttle positioning sensor. Good luck and remember to rateall the replies you get, thanx.
