Get it repaired, cost less and it may just be a simple thermal relay that may have gone bad. Always get a Quote first, your only responsible for the amount of the quote. That means they can only charger you the amount of the quote or less then the quote to repair the Amp. The you can decide to repair it or replace it. Good luck and hope this helps.

Timing belt broke 2005 hyundai tucson. New belt & tensioner& water pump Compression check shows no compression # 2 & # 6. Is it worth it to rebuild top end ?

I would say so, most probably the valves have been bent by hitting the pistons when the belt broke. When the belt breaks, the valves stop mmoving, and the pistons keep moving and will hit the valves and damage them.

Water is leaking from a small hole on top of the water pump 94 lincoln continental

You have to have a new pump installed

To do yourself you need some auto repair
experience & you should see & get to it, if
you are willing to remove a few things in the way

I would say 99% of all people coming to a web site
aren't into working on their own cars & in that case
a water pump on your car isn't all that bad or expensive
I suppose, compared to some vehicles with a pump behind
a timing belt & day days worth of work to get to it

I have a 1995 pontiac grand am v6. I changed the thermostate and when i was finished i just ran the car with water as i was told by a mechanic that it was ok to run on water temp & there was a hose...

best case the hose blew out and you lost coolant causing it to over heat. and could be repaired with new hose. worst case when an engine with aluminum cylinder heads overheats it can cause the aluminum heads to warp and crack making cylinder head replacement necessary

I am looking to locate the water pump on a 99 plymouth breeze

The water pump on both the 2.0 and 2.4 is behind the timing cover on the passenger side. The water pump is driven by the timing belt, and typically this is not a repair for the non-experienced mechanic. If the timing components are not aligned properly when reassembling, internal damage to the engine will occur.

Water mixing with oil

Stop driving this car immediately to prevent further damage until you can have it evaluated. Your head gasket is blown. This will not get better and you cannot fix it yourself. If the engine is high mileage, it may not be worth repairing. I would guess the minimum repair bill on this to be $1000.00.

Bloon head gaskett oil in water tank

I'd say yes if all else is o.k. Go to (www.repairpal.com ) and enter vehicle info & repair to be performed & it will give you an average price of repairs in your area.

Car won't start, Had 4in of water in cabin! No more water, but car won't start.

Being a 1994 it well worth scrapping this car for the cost is more than its worth to repair. Water damage to the electronics componets are very expensive to replace. If you can't afford to scrap it buy a running wrecked of the exact same model and swap all parts to repair yours

2004 Intrepid 2.7l needs $1500 in repairs

Listen to your regular mechanic! These engines are a nightmare. If you can trade or sell this now while it is still running, you will be avoiding a downward spiral of very expensive problems.

Google: "chrysler sludge" and have a stiff drink handy.
