Question about 2002 Audi allroad
On and off, the reverse remains neutral and when accelerating, it doesn't move.
Sounds like the transmission may be gone. You should contact some transmission shops and get an over the phone estimate for a complete rebuild. Do at least three. Ask what their warranty is. When you go in, have them give you a written estimate. If money is too tight, contact a salvage yard that does imports. Ask if they have the transmission and do they install it? If they don't install, don't buy it there because if it's bad, they won't compensate you for someone else's labor. They will have a much shorter warranty than a rebuilt, perhaps 30-90 days. The rebuild shop usually runs one to three years. Good luck.
