SOURCE: fuel pump problem 1991 s-10 2.8

Sounds like the Vehicle is POSESTED LoL ,
I would Hardwire a Key on wire around the origanal wires. Fuel Pump IS NOT going to set a Trouble Code at all ever, as it is an electrical component like headlights, as for the missfiring & guage reading above full I see nothing in commen with the 2 as long as the Supply and return hoses are
not swaped witch they cant be because it wouldnt run (thinking on keyboard) LoL-- Also check Fuel presure regulator. Hope this Helps you.

SOURCE: wont start security light stays on

Body Control Module (BCM) on both counts. Find a shop in your town that specializes in electrical systems to test it. Beware, these can be intermittent problems, so make sure they keep it until the car does what you have observed. Expect to spend about $450 for the replacment. Dealers quoted me between $700 and $1,100 for the same repair. By the way, a new BCM will probably only last you about 12 months.

SOURCE: 2004 Chevy Cavalier - car cranks over but won't start

Well, let me try to say this without being too offensive.....
Your car only quit running on you once. I find it really hard to believe that all of the parts you replaced so far, needed to be replaced to get the engine running again. It is EXTREMELY UNLIKELY that all of these "failures" would occur all at the same time.

You would rather pay for $500+ in parts that the car apparently did not need, than to pay to have it towed to a shop where they have the knowledge, training and equipment necessary to properly diagnose the vehicle and get it running again? And now you want someone to tell you what is causing the problem with your vehicle without the benifit of any diagnostic testing?

There is NO WAY that ANYONE can accurately tell you what is wrong with your vehicle without following the correct diagnostic procedures recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. The most anyone can do online without proper diagnosis and testing is GUESS! You seem to be doing that very well on your own.

How do I know if my fuel pump or fuel filter is bad I have a 1990 Geo Storm when I plugged it it was running fine I'll let it sit for 2 years I put new plugs in it new wires and that's pretty much it I'll...

Carry to mechanic who can check fuel pump output. Some fuel pumps work ok when idling but don't put out enough pressure when trying to accelerate. Pressure is the key. They can check it.

Make sure the fuel filter wasn't installed backwards...if it is correct..then replace the fuel pump..just because it works, doesn't mean it's strong enough to deliver fuel..best of luck

2003 Buick century want start

what have you tried so far? All mechanics go after the fuses first. In the cab and under the hood. Silly as it sounds one fuse on todays cars stops the hole shabang LOL If she is cranking fast with no resistants might be no fuel. fuel pump time then. Try this it worked for me open the air breather and shoot starting fluid in the it and have someone crank it. if she starts your not getting fuel and its either the fuse or you need a new fuel pump. Located in the gas tank. simple fix. if you can put a 10 piece kids puzzle together you`ll figure out how to change your fuel pump. Either way let me know what happens. Hope this helps a little, good luck and God Bless

Ran out of gas than i put a quarter tank worth of gas but it still wouldnt start

Turn the key on you should hear a humming sound from the fuel pump pressurizing the fuel system. Just leave the key on for a 10 -15 seconds and then try to start the car. do not pump the gas pedal. If that does not work you may need a new fuel pump. Check the fuel pump fuse.

1997 Saturn SL can't get it started Have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, CPS sensor and coolant sensor.

Im not sure if this will completely solve your problem, but I will give it a try.

If the engine is flooded, crank the engine while holding the gas pedal to the floor for a couple minutes (or until it sputters or starts). This will get all of the extra gas out of the engine. Your plugs will be fine.

Check your fuel pressure with a test kit...they have a bleeder port that can purge the air out of the fuel rail. Its possible the old gas may have gone bad in 6 years. you may have to purge the old gas with fresh gas. couldnt hurt to put a couple bottles of fuel injector cleaner with your gas. Your injectors could be gummed up with varnish from the old gas.

Before you waste a bunch of money and time replacing good parts, get a code reader or have a mechanic hook up a code reader for you. This will help isolate your problems. If you are not getting a check engine light, the mechanic method may be better because their computers will give you more information than a handheld.

My 91 blazer (Jimmy) just quit running. Looks like getting gas. Just turns over and over. Won't start. Just instantly WTF?!

What do you mean it looks like its getting gas ? Try removeing the fuel filter its an in line filter located on the frame rail under the drivers door . Then put a plastic soda bottle on the line that is comeing from the gas tank and turn the key to run for 5 seconds . If you don't get at least 3 to 4 ounces of fuel then your fuel pump is bad . Or its the relay in the glove box or its the oil pressure sending uint . Have you been haveing problems with the oil pressure gauge or dose it start hard a long cranking time . Long cranking is the relay oil pressure problems is the sending unit but it is a back up power supply for the fuel pump . If the filter is clogged the pump is probably shot you could try replaceing the filter but that pump olny last 10 years at best it just depends if its been replaced at one time witch may be likely seenig its 20 years old the new ones were better a lot of upgrades on them check it out i can't do it for you olny you can do it good luck

1997 chevy s-10 wont start

An intermittent problem like this are a bear to solve but i can tell you that our company truck that has a 4.3l in it [i assume yours does to] has done the same thing three times over the 7 years we've had it and it always ends up being the fuel pump. There is the odd chance that you've put too much fuel in the intake and flooded it,the only way it will go after being flooded is to change the sparkplugs[not sure why this happens but it happens on all fuel injected cars].

Could timing chain be broke? Update to this problem: I was told bt a FixYa expert to spray starting fluid into throttle body and see if it will start. I just tried to start with starting fluid, still no...

it is possible was the engine rattling before it quite .if so the chain could have broke .Do a compression check the cylinders should be at least 120 psi.You should have smelled fuel before but you thought the injectors were bad so i assumed you didnt smell any gas.
