Question about 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
I have changed my timing belt and chain.The belt you have to pull the valve covers off and on the front and the back of each side there is spot that a special tool or flat plate with a hole in the middle makes sure the lobes stay where they are suppose to be

The diagram in the manuals should show the timing marks on both cam gears to be on the blue timing chain links.
