Question about 1997 GMC Jimmy

1 Answer

The blower for ac, heat and defrosters has been stopping. My techncian keeps replacing a "blower relay". This seems to last for about for to six months. Then the problem starts all over again. I can't help to think it may be because something is overheating the relay. This started happening after we had the heater fixed to blow heat.

Heater blows no heat

  1. check to see if you have voltage to your blower motor with key on and blower motor switch selected to a speed setting
  2. if you have voltage, then your blower motor is faulty
  3. no voltage means that you have a blown fuse, bad relay, bad fan switch, or bad blower motor resistor.

Follow the wires from the blower motor back to the blower motor resistor, normally only a few inches away and held in by a 7 mm screw. Replace it

I have a 95 buick lesabre 6 cyl. When I turn the car off, the AC blower will not stop running. I pulled the fuse to keep from running down the battery. The fuse was good and I don't know what the problem...

Replace the blower control module. Its under hood about six inches from the ac/heater fan motor on heater case hidden behind a shield. It bolts in from the top and has about eight wires going to it.
