SOURCE: abs light will not reset have replaced wheel sensor wires are good as i replaced speed sensor wires are good what next ??

Cluster warning lights

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS, TPMS, MIL, CEL and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

Legend of Abbreviations. ABS Anti-lock brake system. TCS Traction control system, TCM Transmission control module, SRS Supplemental restraint system, BCM Body control module. TPMS Tire Pressure Monitor System, MIL Malfunction Indicator Lamp, CEL Check Engine Light.

DTC C0225 LF Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Open or Shorted (325 ABS)
As the wheel spins, the wheel speed sensor produces an AC signal. The electronic brake control module (EBCM) uses the frequency of the AC signal to calculate the wheel speed.

Diagnostic Aids
Thoroughly inspect any connection or circuitry that is suspected of causing an intermittent malfunction. Inspect for the following conditions:
• Backed out terminals
• Improper mating
• Broken locks
• Corrosion
• Improperly formed or damaged terminals
• Poor terminal-to-wiring connections
• Physically damaged wiring
• Wiring broken inside the insulation
If the customer's concern is that the ABS indicator lamp is on only during humid conditions such as rain, snow, or vehicle wash thoroughly inspect all wheel speed sensor circuits for signs of water intrusion. Use the following procedure:
Spray the suspected area with a 5% salt water solution (two teaspoons of salt to 12 oz. of water).
Drive the vehicle above 24 km/h (15 mph) for at least 30 seconds.
If the DTC returns, replace the suspected harness.
When inspecting a wheel speed sensor, inspect the sensor terminals and the harness connector for corrosion. If evidence of corrosion exists, then replace the wheel speed sensor. Refer to Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement .

Chev s-10 Speedometer and odometer doesn't work. replaced Veh Spd Sensor, Service engine lite still on, Replaced Cluster still not working, Computer shows no VSS, and most sensors not ready after several...

Try this- pick the truck up off the ground high enough to safely keep the drive wheels from touching the ground. Get underneath the truck with a digital multimeter. Set your meter to Volts AC. Unplug the two-wire plug from your vehicle speed sensor, and connect the leads from your meter directly to the Vehicle Speed Sensor on the transmission. Have someone start the truck up and put it in drive, and carefully, slowly let their foot off the brake. Once the wheels start spinning, you should see an AC voltage reading at the sensor on your meter. The voltage will increase with speed, and decrease as the wheels slow down. If you've got that much, the sensor and reluctor ring in the transmission are okay, and you're going to need to find out why the wires aren't sending the signal from the VSS to the PCM. The best way to find a broken wire is to unplug the VSS connector and pcm connector, and ohm out (measure the resistance) the wires end to end to find out if there's a broken or shorted wire between the two components. If you aren't getting an AC voltage reading off the sensor with the wheels spinning, then you've either got a problem with the sensor, or an internal problem in the transmission with the reluctor ring missing, broken, or loose.

I have a 02 Accent with a p1529 code. NONE of my mechanics have any idea what this code is or my trans guys. This is my only code as I just replaced my output speed sensor and this one stupid code is...

The code is related to the right front wheel speed sensor . possibly a bad wheel speed sensor or broken wire or faulty connection ....you may look behind the fender shield to inspect for broken or damaged wire or connector .... a good starting point

The speedometer will not work. We replace the wheel speed sensor and it still does not work. What else could be wrong?

you didn't state year or model but you said you replaced wheel speed sensor which is not correct the wheel speed sensors are for the antilock brakes and traction control

Your problem is with the vehicle speed sensor that on the transmission not on the wheels
or you might have a bad speedometer it self does the odometer work ? if the odometer works more than likely your problem is with the speedometer it self and not the speed sensor

Abs lit up on dash/ track control off/ resently repaired all brakes front and rear/ rear with new pads and rotors

most likely you have a bad wheel speed sensor or a broken wire to the wheel speed sensor. you will need it scanned to find out which sensor is acting up. if it is a broken wire it usually will be for a front wheel speed sensor from all the turning and it should be with in the first 6 inches or so from the sensor. to replace sensor you must replace front wheel bearing sensor assembly.

Hummin sound when turning to the left no trac light comes on and the brake pedal pushes back

You have a partially broken wiring harness to one of the front wheel speed sensors. As the wheels turn back and forth they tend to fatigue the harness and cause an intermittent brake in the wire , this makes the computer think that you have lost traction and triggers the ABS/Traction control system. You'll need to have the computer scanned for abs codes and figure out which sensor is showing as bad. If the problem is not bad enough yet, the code may not have stored. Either way, you will have to get an ohmmeter and carefully test the resistance of the speed sensor harnesses to find out where it is broken. An alternative is to just replace the wiring between the sensor and where it fastens to the frame. Any place that the wire has to move when the wheels are being steered is suspect.
