The blower motor is located under the Dash on the passenger side. Simply unplug it and unbolt the mounting bolts. The one closest to the firewall may give you a bit of a hard time as the angle is a bit limiting. Does the blower work on any speed? Usually the resistor block goes bad and the blower motor will not work on any speed but high. The resistor block is located next to the motor and it's held in place by two bolts. Good luck!
the switch is part of the a/c control head. i would look at the blower motor resistor not the switch this is most common cause of failure it is located under rt side of dash in bottom of heater case close to the blower motor.
Did you try the fan on HI? If it works on HI only, the blower motor resistor is bad.
If the fan fails to operate at any setting, disconnect the wire harness from the blower motor, and connect a test light to the wire harness. Turn on the car, and try the switch. If the test light turns on, the circuit is ok, and a bad blower motor is indicated. If the test light will not turn on, you have a problem in the circuit. Possible blown fuse or faulty fan switch.
There is a blower motor resistor located up under the passenger side dash. I believe there is actually 3 fuses that can cause problems with the blower....relays/fuses should be located in the engine compartment fuse block. They are High Blower fuse-HVAC fuse-Radio/HVAC/RFA/Cluster/etc...fuse. Hope this helps.
You have a loose wire connection from the fan switch to the motor someplace. Banging on the dash makes temporary connection of the loose connection problem until the next time you try it. It is possible too that your fan switch is corroded.
