Question about 2008 Saturn Astra
I have had a check engine idiot light on for a week. A month ago, same thing. Went to Autozone who coded an MAF. I cleaned it, and the light went off. A month later, light went on again. I cleaned the MAF a few days ago, no change. Tonite, I went to Autozone. Dude says, with diagnostic thing plugged in - "No code's coming up." I went through enough cycles that if the computer's touchy, it should've disappeared, I guess. My Q's: can this be? Light on - no code? Is the Autozone dude not doing it right? Second Q: is there a fuse that blew to keep the light on? There is no problem with the engine, by the way. Still the smooth, peppy 'ol thing. Third Q: Worth going to my mechanic (I'm on a tight budget) - after going to another free diagnostic? If I get a second negative, then - just keep driving? Stuck switch? Your thoughts?
