Question about Buick Regal
Car will not start with key. I wired a 30 amp switch under the dash to bypass the neutral safety switch, which I replaced with no luck of starting with the key. The Car starts using this switch. If I take the wiring connector off of the NS switch, and jumper the two heaviest wires together, then the Car will start with the key. I'd like to figure out what exactly is the problem, and correct it. Does this '91 Regal have a starter relay? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Ron

SOURCE: wont start
There's only 2 more things that I can think of, check the fuse for the ignition, then the computor itself, you did everything else.It might be the problem and may not.

I had the same problem with my 95 Lesabre. The owners manual says to take the key out, and wait 3 minutes(until the light goes off). It should fire right up.

Thick wires at IGN SW .... Red(s) - supply power from the battery to the IGN switch ... Pink - ignition supply ... Orange - Accessory power ... Purple most RWD sometimes (Yellow most FWD) - Starter .. Did I miss any? It's been a while The thin wires on the IGN swich are for key sense and VATS (if applicable)
