I have a 2002 xtype jag. It will just die while I am driving! It will restart, and I have had to throw it into neutral to restart because I am in traffic! Only once, after stalling four times in one...

The Jaguar has a number of electrical problems...among which is a worse problem than you have right now. It can select reverse when idling at a stop !

The emergency brake can also automatically apply its self at any speed .

These are among some of the recalls and bulletins issued by Jaguar.

Hi, I recently stated having issued with my jaguar. It is a Jaguar S Type 3.0 year 2000. First the windows from both back doors stopped working they dont go down anymore only the driver and the passengers...

The problem I think is in the fuses. There is a fuse for every electrical stuf and there is for the each door windows. Check wich one is and verfy if is burned.
For the unlocking problem check if you press two times fast the unlocking buton if that will open all doors. Try to turn the key right and hold it for at least 5 sec.
Between the plates lights have a small opening to insert the key and open the trunk.
Try all this. If you don't have a drawing with all fuses check internet.

Upon start up it seems electrical or computer problem. Seat moves back and forth, engine won't turn over but all lights seem o.k., but it sounds like a battery or electrical or computer problem.

this vehicle has it's battery located in the trunk. that's a long run to the starter (resistance). have someone with a meter put a load on the battery. That's the place to start (and probably end).

Replace cabin pollen filter 2005 jaguar xkr

To get to the cabin air filter on an XK8 or XKR, you have to do the following steps (I know these steps sound in many cars there is just a simple cover in the engine compartment... but...): The air filter is under the black plastic cowl or plenum that is just under the windshield wiper blade connectors. To get to that, you must 1. carefully lift off the plastic covers that reveal screw heads. Remove the screws. 2. lift off the plastic covers that are on the top of each windshield wiper connector - under the cover you will then see a nut or bolt that has to be unscrewed. 3. Using a small puller (the puller that lifts off battery terminals works for this) lift off each windshield wiper and disconnect the rubber hose from each. 3. lift the car's front hood, and remove the plastic cowling (you also have to lift the side rubber runners and a rubber strap from each side that holds up the rubber drain hoses). Once you remove that plastic cowling, you will see the air filter plenum at the back of the engine area. The air filter should come vertically out of that. (This air filter does not exist on my 2000 and earlier editions...I am not sure what year Jaguar installed them.) Full instructions are on the Jaguar JTIS CD which you should obtain...look online for that.
