Question about 1990 Pontiac Trans Sport
Drivers seat belt falls out of cab when door is opened
Check belt for wear and grommits, if those are fine the retraction spring is getting weak and it's time to replace the assembly.

The retractor may have become fatigued with age. The only practical solution is to help it retract whenever you exit the vehicle.

Sounds like the plastic clip that connects the lock has broken however regardless of fault the inner door panel has to be removed to diagnose and repair. It could also be inner door lock assembly.

Anytime I had a battery or charging problem, but did not need to replace the battery (or disconnect the battery), my sliding door would not operate. What I found was that a module was tripped and by disconnecting the battery for a minute or so, it reset the module and the door would operate. I never tried the fuse, but it may work as well. The fuse for the power sliding door is actually the courtesy fuse on the very bottom, left (driver side) of the fuse box on my 95 Trans Sport.

verify the ground wire is good, black wire, its down on the frame rail, opposite of the air filter housing, if thats OK, it, could be the turn signal switch. but the wires go from the turn signal switch, through the Daytime Running Lights Module, through the fuse panel under the hood, then to the light socket. wire is light blue / white coming out of turn signal switch to DRL module, then its light blue all the way to the socket.
