Question about 2003 Mazda Mazda6

1 Answer

P2110, p2135, p0223, p0122

I have 2003 mazda 6 with a v6 engine, I received all of these codes. Do all of these point to the accelerator position sensor? The v6's don't have a throttle position sensor, correct?

SOURCE: car hesitates at different rpms in all gears on my 2004 mazda 6

Hi, it might very well be the electronic engine control system that is malfunctioning, among other probable causes. I'm not there in person, but I can help you go through the most probable causes of this accleration-hesitation problem that you have. In fact, here's a very good, handy diagnostic article exactly on your issue, detailing the six most probable causes:

SOURCE: 2002 Mazda Tribute V6 difficult to start.

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE IAC VALE OR IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE IS BAD, WHAT YOU CAN DO IS TAP ON THE VALVE. IT IS LOCATED ON THE INTAKE RIGHT BEHIND THE THROTTLE BODY, JUST TAP ON THE SILVER PART WITH THE BACK OF A SCREW DRIVER A COUPLE OF TIMES. THIS SHOULD UNSTICK THE VALVE AND YOUR TRIBUTE SHOULD RUN. THEN IT IS JUST A MATTER OF REPLACING THE VALVE. YOU CAN GET THEM FROM ANY AUTO PARTS HOUSE.

How do I solve for My Hyundai sonata model 2009 code P2110 , P2118 in scaning. I changed throttle body and TP sensor. after change of these even I am getting problem in accelerator not increases above

P2110...Faulty Throttle Actuator Control Module
- Throttle Actuator Control Module harness is open or shorted
- Throttle Actuator Control Module circuit poor electrical connection

P2118 - Electronic Throttle Control(ETC) system is made of the components throttle body, Throttle Position Sensor(TPS)1&2 and Accelerator Position Sensor(APS) 1&2. The throttle body contains the actuator, the throttle plate and the throttle position sensor (potentiometer), which are integrated in one housing. The actuator consists of a DC motor with a two-stage gear. The opening angle of the throttle valve is detected by the throttle position sensor which is mounted on the throttle body. And it provides feedback to the ECM to control the throttle motor in order to control the throttle valve opening angle properly in response to the driving condition.

My 2006 Suzuki forenza has engine codes of p2110, p2135, p2101, p2135, p0106. I have changed the throttle body, the transmission range sensor, the accelerator pedal module. What do these codes say to...

its a Daewood car, made by GM (suzuki) and has a GM holden L34 engine, its pretty much a horror, read the history
read the TSB and recalls, its like #1 in bad cars list. at consumer reports.
This is a fly by wire car, and can fail those codes for many reason, even a simple air leak to the plenum. In fact replace those codes with one, code, in english,
The ecu says, I can not control idle. or the throttle correctly.
see? no codes, just a fact. that fact allows you to look and take tests that solve the flybywire riddle.

the range sensor, is just a switch PRNLD in to the ECU.
this codes throws, if the switch, shows illegal logic.
say in drive and reverse at the same time.
my guess, is its loose.

Reading codes

Check the wiring to the throttle body, check the supply voltages as well. Check fuses too, it sounds like it received a voltage spike and then lost voltage and is now forcing limited rpm.

It sounds like the throttle position sensor (TPS) needs to be replaced. When the TPS sensor goes bad it will give you the codes you received.
