You need a Scanner to reset the Spark Plug Light on your car, I have never found a way to clear the light on the VW without it. Volvo is the same way... It is a way for them to make money. On similar cars, there is a way of setting the Trip Counter to "A" and then Depressing the Button and Then turning the key. you can try that method but I do not think it will work.

Testimonial: "thank you, I've just tried a second option, but didn't help, I guess I will have to spent some money unfortunately,to do it by scanner. thank you for your help"

SOURCE: how to change drivers door latch on vw golf sdi

Have you tried using WD-40 to help the lock from sticking you may not need replace it.
However if you feel it's necessary ...you need to remove the inside door panel with the window up remove the two bars that are you inner lock and door handle levers a plastic clip holds them into place on the lock itself .a drop light is very helpful once the levers are disconnected remove the outer screws on the door itself the lock should fall off from the inside at this point ...install new lock and reinstall rods { levers} to the lock itself test before reinstalling door panel then secure when confident it works properly

My vw golf 4 2.0l won't rave but idles roughly

check spark plugs and distributor. look for bad wear and missing parts. It must be a faulty spark plug which is not igniting fuel in one cylinder. If you decide to replace the plugs its best to change all of them.

I have a vw golf mk 5 2.0 sdi, when engin starts, the whole engine shakes untill I drive the car. The after 3500 revs in some gears the car seams to ****!!

Check the VAG code. I had the same problem with my MK V 1.4 FSI. Let me guess when you rev it, it dusnt shake anymore?

It might be one of your cylinders are misfiring. And this might be faults with spark plugs, coil pack or the injector. You'll be lucky if it is the first two as they aren't much expensive to repair. It will cost you if it is the injectors.
